Delhi - the National capital at a glance

Delhi, the insane capital filled with joy, fun, food, adventures and surely a lot more things . This northern Indian metropolis is difficult to put into words. Delhi's metropolis area is home to over 28 million people. Delhi is unbelievably loud and chaotic. I feel that Delhi is a sensory overload.Delhi, in my opinion, must be seen if travelling through northern India.

Places to go around in delhi

India Gate & Kartavya path

It was built to remember the soldiers who died in the First World War, and it has an eternal flame that is always lit underneath. It's similar to the Indian Arc De Triomphe, but there are vendors selling chai, chaat, and poppadoms all around it!

It's one of my favourite places to visit during the day or evening because it's free and has a relaxing family atmosphere. It's always crowded in the afternoon, so if you want to beat the crowds or take pictures without people in them, go early in the morning. You can go around the gate and explore the parliament buildings on Rajpath, which is a short walk away.

Red Fort

For more than 200 years, the red sandstone fort was a prominent Mughal Emperor residence! It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a collection of historical rooms, buildings, and museums to explore.

My favourite aspect was the blend of Persian, European, and Indian architecture, as well as the numerous Indian archways that were perfectly symmetrical.

It's also enjoyable to stroll through the gardens, which feature a mix of temples and buildings lined with colourful flowers!

It's always been somewhere I'd like to have a picnic because there's a nice grassy area around it, but I've never had the chance.

Lotus Temple

It is a Baha'i house of worship that is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds. It has 27 marble petals that form the shape of a flower. The architecture has won numerous awards and has become a must-see tourist attraction in Delhi. You will be given a shopping bag in which to store your shoes, which you should keep with you at all times.

When you get inside, just come to a halt, sit down, and look up! The lotus flower's ceiling and interior are breathtaking. You must maintain complete silence, but you will be so impressed that you may be at a loss for words anyway.

 connaught Place

If you're not exhausted, I recommend going to Connaught Place in the evening. Some of Delhi's best nightlife is housed in the whitewashed buildings that form a perfect circle. There will be bars, restaurants, cafés, and shopping to enjoy.

Connaught Place is massive, and it's even divided into sections from A-Z to help you find your way around. Lord of the Drinks and Social are two of my personal favourites. The best advice I can give you about bars is to look them up! The majority of the restaurants and bars in this area are located above the shops below, so you must look up to find them.
